“I know there are times in our lives when we just can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. We often feel overwhelmed in our relationships, not knowing what to do to make them better. As your therapist, I can be there to provide compassion, insight, and suggestions that can help you move in the direction you want to go. I believe that therapy can help individuals, couples, and families develop the skills needed to achieve their goals.”
My Approach & Values

Vanessa Gardner

“Are you feeling stuck in survival mode? Do your problems feel insurmountable? Are you losing hope that things will improve? Relationship challenges, grief, anxiety, and depression might have you feeling unsure of how to move forward. As your therapist, I provide a nonjudgmental and safe space to work out these difficulties. I help individuals, couples, and families find their path to get beyond just surviving to a place where they can thrive.”
My Approach & Values
As a marriage and family therapist I look at how all the pieces of life impact one another. I believe our problems are a complex web of intersecting aspects of our lives. I want to help you find tools that provide some immediate relief from symptoms, but ultimately my goal is to help you discover what is at the root of the issue. When we discover the cause and make changes at that level, we go from managing symptoms to decreasing or eliminating them. Through this holistic and personalized approach we can find solutions that resonate with you.

Mia Watson
Counselor Intern
“When the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity – then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship offered by an empathic person..provides illumination and healing. I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another. ~Carl Rogers
My Approach & Values
As a counseling intern I aim to meet my clients where they are at and listen with an open mind and heart. I believe clients are the experts of their lives and it is a privilege to be allowed into the lives of clients as they open up to me. I value working collaboratively with clients to address their concerns and work towards their goals.
Like almost everything, counseling is not one-size-fits-all and I recognize that each client who comes to me is unique and my approach to counseling will be tailored to meet the needs of each client. I provide a comfortable, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to explore client concerns. I believe in celebrating clients accomplishments and achievements throughout the counseling process and in the importance of a strong foundational counseling relationship in order to dive into client concerns and address not only the symptoms but the root of the problem.
